once upon a time
THIS IS YOUR VERY OWN HAPPILY EVER AFTER
Every child grows up learning the fairy tales - the princess who falls to the evil of the wicked queen, and the prince charming who comes to sweep her off her feet on her dashing steed. Whether the princess be Cinderella, forced to work each day by her evil stepsisters, or a mermaid, even, who falls in love with a human, each princess always gets her happy ending.
It's a fairy tale, after all.
But for the wicked queens, the witches, the evil stepmothers and stepsisters - where has their happy ending gone? Snatched by the happiness of Cinderella and Rapunzel, twirled away in the laughter of Wendy and Snow White, their happy endings never came. And while, dear reader, all you've ever heard of was the happily ever afters of princess and prince charming, you've never seen the epilogue for the 'villains.'
And Ever Ever after, is the villains' chance at their own happy ending. Gathering their powers into one, they've cast the most powerful spell of all - one that hurled the entire fairy tale realm, dwarves and fairy godmothers and princesses and all, into the real world; and the worst thing of all: they've all forgotten who they are, and even the villains who've cast the spell to begin with have forgotten. The villains have made a second chance for themselves; this, this is their chance at their own happy ending.
Storybrooke is a small town in the outskirts of Maine, forever lost in the enchantment of fairy tale time. The residents are all the characters of the fairy tales we've all grown up reading about, living their lives as sheriffs and shopowners, unaware of their own magical identities. But something - something is beginning to stir in the previously isolated town of Storybrooke.
Travelers are beginning to stumble their way into the town; the once-frozen clock on the clock tower is beginning to tick once more. And most importantly of all - the characters are beginning to remember.
